ABOUT ME

Hi! I am Harshita Upadhyay! I am a 15-year-old from Shelton. Science and technology have captivated me since I was in 4th grade, when I made a circuit in science class to learn about open and closed circuits. I was always curious about how things functioned and why certain phenomena occurred, such as how a phone works, or why a bus releases so much smoke from its exhaust pipe. 
As I grew older, I noticed the lack of girls around me who had the same curiosity for STEM. I learned that many people think that to work in the STEM field, you must be a genius, but that’s not true. Like any other job, you need motivation, passion, and hard work. STEM has many opportunities and does not only mean you become an engineer or a doctor. You can be an astrologist, a metalsmith, or so much more. Through the interviews on this website, you will see all the possibilities. My goal is to spread and pique interest in STEM careers and majors for after high school life. I hope that these videos will inspire you to pursue something along the lines of STEM and lead you to inspire others.
